Six Flags Great Adventure & Safari
The biggest amusement park in New Jersey is Six Flags Great Adventure & Safari. Besides being the park with the most rides it is also the park with the most roller coasters and the park with the most intens ride. So if you are looking for extreem thrills. Search no further, this is the park to go. This is the amusement park where we found the Kingda Ka, a true legend among the roller coasters. For a long time it used to be the fastest roller coaster in the world and it still is the highest roller coaster in the world. With 14 roller coasters in total you will not be bored. And there are more legend in this amusement park, such as Nitro, El Toro and Batman the Ride. Another awesome thing about the park is that it has also a Zoo and Waterpark! Morey’s Piers
Morey’s Piers is the second biggest amusement park in New Jersey. It has almost exactly the same amount of rides as Six Flags Great Adventure & Safari but it has more calm and moderate rides and less roller coasters and thrilling rides. But still with 6 roller coaster also worth the visit if you are a thrill seeker. The Great Nor’Easter and the Sea Serpent are extremely fast and intens! Then there are some extreem pendulum rides which makes you go in al directions! With the calm and moderate rides this park is really suitable for all age categories and families. And you’ll have a great view from all rides over the ocean!
Diggerland USA
This amusement park is really unique in its kind. Diggerland USA is not really an amusement park but more some kind of big playground for grownups and big children where you can control your own massive excavator or other heavy machinery! Always dreamed of operating on a crane? Take your chance and go to Diggerland. So no more being driving around in a normal round but you are behind the wheel here.
Gillian’s Wonderland Pier
Gillian’s Wonderland Pier has just as the amusement park above here and below 34 rides. Its a nice family park and has great rides for children. The Runaway Train Coaster is there most intens roller coaster but its also quite child friendly. So this is a great park to take your children to. However it does have 2 intens rides for yourself or your big children to enjoy. A drop Tower which is higher then 300 ft and the Super Flipping Arm, a very tall pendulum ride.
Playland’s Castaway Cove
With also 34 rides, Playland’s Castaway Cove is still on number 3 biggest of all amusement parks in New Jersey. It’s a little bit more extreem then the park above here. It has 4 roller coaster and 1 of these is really extreem: the GaleForce. And it has some more intens pendulum rides and carousels. Playland’s Castaway Cove is also located right next to the ocean!
Keansburg Amusement Park
Just a little bit smaller then the 3 amusement parks above, Keansburg Amusement Park is still a very nice and moderately sized park. There are 31 rides, 2 roller coasters and 2 intens rides. The Looping Star is the intens roller coaster because it keeps going round and round. The other intens ride is the Loop-O-Plane, a pendulum ride which goes upside down! So with 22 calm rides and 7 moderate rides this park is mainly suitable for children but as grown-up you will also enjoy yourself.
Land of Make Believe
With 30 rides Land of Make Believe of a good park. It has no intens ride so come here with the family and bring your kids! There is a small roller coaster that is good for your children getting there first roller coaster experience. It has 26 calm rides and 4 moderate. So this amusement park is a great day out for small children.
Clementon Park & Splash World
Not only an amusement park but also a water park. In Clementon Park & Splash World you will for sure have a great day out! It has 26 rides and 2 intens rides. One of them is the wooden roller coaster Hellcat. It is really special for a wooden roller coaster being that fast! This park is great for all ages and the whole family! It is located nearby a natural lake with the same name close to Philadelphia.
The Funplex Mount Laurel
The Funplex Mount Laurel is another great family park. As extreem ride is has the Fun Twister, a pendulum rides which keeps going upside down! There is a moderate roller coaster named the FunCoaster and many other fun moderate rides. So this park is suitable for all age categories it just has a little bit less extreem rides then the park above. But you will stil enjoy yourself here as a grownup.
Steel Pier
As you would expect Steel Pier is located at the ocean so make sure to enjoy the beautiful views! There are 23 rides so its a bit smaller then its predecessors but if you are looking for thrilling rides it is not inferior to the other amusement park with around 30 rides. There are 2 moderate steel mouse coasters, and 3 intens rides. You’ll pay extra for the Slingshot. And you can even do a helicopter tour at the park. Off course you pay extra for that too.
Fantasy Island Amusement Park
We are getting to the small amusenent parks in New Jersey now. Fantasy Island Amusement Park is almost the smallest with 20 rides. It has an intens rides which is a cool simulation ride. And there is a roller coaster called the Hang Ten, suitable for children. Most of the other rides here are also suitable for children so bring your little brother of sister!
Storybook Land
Storybook Land is the smallest amusement park in the state New Jersey. It is a more like a very big playground with rides and a roller coaster. All the rides are made for small children, including the roller coaster. Out of the 16 rides, 15 of them are calm and 1 moderate. A small drop tower. This park is really only nice when you are very young but you will have a great time then!
